Tribe Family Invitation

If you are thinking about joining our Tribe as a player, coach, or as a supporter, please first read the following poem entitled "The Invitation" by Oriah Mountain Dreamer.

  YOU ARE INVITED

The Invitation

It does not interest us what you do for a living.  We want to know what you ache for, and if  you dare to dream of meeting your soul's longing.

It does not interest us how old you are.

We want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love,  for your dreams, and for the adventure of being alive.

We want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, and if you have become opened by your life's betrayals, or if you have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain.

We want to know if you can sit comfortably with pain, ours or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.

We want to know if you can be with joy, ours or your own, and if you can dance with wildness and let ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning others to be careful, be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human.

It does not interest us what other people say about you.  We want to know if you can disappoint others to be true to yourself, and if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul.

We want to know if you can see beauty in life even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can source your life from God's presence.

We want to know if you can live with failure, yours and ours, and still stand on the edge of a mountain and shout at the silver of the full moon.

It does not interest us to know where you live or how much money you have.

We want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children.
